about

This album is a sort of prequel to my previous noise album, the Pink-On-Black one, but also draws from the ambient 'Nakatomi'. It details similar themes of isolation and soundscapes, but maintains a lighter tone and a less sample-focused approach to noise music. The album tells the story of a person who shut himself off from the world.

The storyline follows a shut-in protagonist who is prone to hallucinations and mental episodes. The album catalogues an indeterminate amount of time, as he suffers from outside factors that force him further inwards, until at the end of the album he is finally able to reach his guitar and play a chord that snaps him out of his psychosis. When he finally looks outside, 400 years have passed and the world is almost empty.
